Sometimes, you just have to stop. Stop worrying, stop perceiving, stop whatever. I think we all need to take a collective deep breath. In and out. Our world is moving so fast and honestly, I’m struggling to keep up with it, and I’m definitely not alone. But instead of struggling, I’m deciding to slow down, and whether or not the world slows down with me isn’t my problem. I don’t think we can possibly be expected to keep up with everything all the time. Our world is already wreaking havoc on our nervous systems, so why can’t we take the time to bring them back to reality?

I know, none of us truly know how to do that, but I know I’m certainly going to try. You should too.

Here’s what I do to try

  • Writing in a diary every day helps me organize my thoughts
  • Walking around my house is extremely effective when I need to clear my head
  • Forcing myself to stop for a few minutes and just sit down.
  • Knowing that I need some alone time.

Until next time,
