I didn’t have much to say today, and I think that’s exactly why I’m writing this. Sometimes, there isn’t any fantastical moment of inspiration or perfect time to start. Sometimes, you just have to start anyway.
What I mean by this is that sometimes you have to do things even if they’re imperfect. There’s still more value in the ten minute workout than no workout at all. There’s more value in this uninspired blog than no blog.
I think this concept is hard for a lot of people because we’re trained to be perfect or at least pretend to be. It takes a lot of work to convince yourself to do something that you know will be messy, and a lot of times I just don’t want to do that work,
It’s in those moments that I just start typing with my eyes closed. Just taking the first step is sometimes enough to get me started. So just start going for a walk, apply for that job you’re unsure about, put away one dish, or whatever the first step is to what you have to do. Once you start, you may find that you can’t stop.
Until Next Time,
Ella Greene
